Art dolls for sale...
L- R......... 'They Moved', 'Beval', 'Nash' and in the little paper boat 'Mask'.
'They Moved' is from my little Paper Houses collection. The art doll is a stump doll made from quilters muslin and paperclay, she has been painted with acrylic paints and finished with matt varnish. Her little papier mache house has been made with some pages from a vintage copy of 'Wind in the Willows, it has been finished with some stitching, a sweetheart window above the door.
'Beval' and 'Nash' are small paperclay sculptures from my Weird Heads series.

Little rays of sunshine...
My 'Stargazers' have sailed away to a new home
The beginnings of a new collagraph plate
Only wish I could do a couple of test prints... Norman has almost finished getting the press up and ready, now I just need some press blankets.
Anyone know where I can get some at a reasonable price....? Second hand would be OK. Please leave a message or email me if you know of any. I've been quoted £370.00 + vat + postage...which is way way too much.
The overall size of the press bed is 137 x 87.. I know... it's large, hence the huge cost of the blankets. So any alternative ideas welcome...
And....
The sun is trying to shine this morning...

What a clever old girl
A new Shop!!
....to be exact.
'Mycuriosityshop'
I have just opened myself a bigcartel shop. It has taken me all day to work out the most simple of things how to get it linked to my blog. I am so dense sometimes... It must be my age.So I emailed the bigcartel, and a lovely lady called Karen was there to help... Me being me, still couldn't work it out...doh! A few more emails... And a bit of brain work...Ouch! What I would call joining up the dots so to speak... And I've done it. Drum roll please.....Just one item in it so far...
'Mask'
(From my 'Sail boats and Theatricals' series)
...But hey, that's another computing thingy that I've learnt. Wonders will never cease. I am hoping that it will be simpler for me to use than Etsy... we shall see.*Apparently the paypal sorts out the currency exchange rates.. Job done! Hurrah...Sweet dreams everyone. Good night.

Sail Boats and Theatricals...Stargazers..
"Look to the right ..."
"Now look up..."
".....And face the front...."
"...Jump in your boat... Sail to the left.."
OK! OK! OK! that's enough of that.... I'm singing to myself...
Loosing the plot a little more each day...
These are the 'Stargazers', three men in a boat looking at the sky the largest is holding the 'Stargazer's Illustrated' in one hand and a golden star in the other, the next has a library under his jerkin and is holding 'Planet Weekly' and the smallest has a wand with a star...
(I don't know if these magazines exist or not ..
I just made them up to suit my little fellows)
The 'Stargazers' are sitter dolls, they are all made of cloth and clay, filled with silver sand and wadding finished with artists acrylic paints and sealed with matt varnish. I made them from scratch with a cereal packet pattern in one hand and hope/luck in the other.
Their little sail boat is made from a cereal box and papier mache. They all have one of my labels on their bottoms..
