Clangers...

This week whilst our darling Maud is back in hospital for yet more treatment,
I will be attempting to make her a 'Clanger'.
I managed to print this 'pattern' with bit's missing. Good old Pinterest..
I was going to get out the sewing machine but it is sometimes nice to sit and do some hand stitching.
This way it distracts me from worrying about their long journeys to and from London, and  latest outcome from Bart's children's hospital.

The 'Turquoise Fairy' is finished.

Just waiting to be waxed and strung.. Tomorrow's job..

Maud a tiny portrait in progress..

'Maud Love' - A turquoise fairy.
Working on a wooden board, rabbit skin gesso and natural pigments... And to top it all, it's tiny 15cm x 15cm...The challenges I set myself.. I sometimes ask myself why?

Maud... and 'seasnow' in Cornwall

I'm still here... Things are a little tough, but Maud is doing OK, she has just had 4:6 of her treatments, Here she is trying to get Julienana's glasses back into the glasses case just before her treatment on Friday.. Wearing her new cardi, it's about all the creativity I manage at the moment, knitting whilst wiling away the hours with Maud and Nicole at the hospital.. It's surprising what you can make with 3 odd balls from a charity shop and a few odd buttons that are the best part of 30 years old.. Recycling I've been doing it for donkey's years without realizing it..

We have had some amazing storms here lately, this was Gunwalloe, Church Cove Beach yesterday morning at high tide.

The beach and the sea looked as if  it were all made of marshmallows
 Or meringue?

Look into the distance, those are not white cliffs..

The natural world never ceases to amaze me..

I think blogger is going a little peculiar, this post is typed in upper and lower case Ariel font, but is showing a mix of capitals... Very strange...

I've recycled an old cushion cover into a FREE high chair..Ta Da!

I've have been looking/hunting for a second hand high chair for Maud, but couldn't get hold of one, so googled travel high chair..  This is what come up.. A fabric one.. Fantastic I thought but what can I make it from without it costing anything.. So in my hunt, not many boxes opened since our move to Cornwall I found and have now recycled a piece of

fabric that I had made into a cushion for my girls bedroom over 30 years ago.  One hour or so later it's a recycled cushion cover made into improvised high chair for Maud. Cost zero!
Success! Maud loves it.. Well her lunch anyway not so sure about her travel high chair.

Once apon a time.. There was a teeny tiny coat..

Made by the artist who brought a very small white rabbit for her new grand-daughter Maud.
"Hi" said the little white rabbit, she was new to the artists studio and was a little scared, so she hid in the little paper house on the artists table. She had been living in the local book shop window down in the artists village...
She was feeling a little shy... And a little chilly

She wanted to go on a journey but didn't have a coat. So she asked the artist to make her one, which of course she did. "And very fiddly it was too".. Said the artist
The artist custom made the coat to allow her tiny tail to peek out so that it didn't get squashed.
The little rabbit struggled to get it on. Phew! And had to have a sit down. Once she'd got the buttons done up, she popped her head around the door of the little paper house..
"Hello"
She said to the artists blog land friends..
"Ta Da.... Look at my new daisy coat"..  The little rabbit said.
"I shall soon be off on my journey to meet Maud, I hope that she likes me and my new coat". The little white rabbit smiled a sweet smile..
She waved her tiny paw and said
"Bye" And blew everyone a kiss.x
("I sound more and more like my mother every day, stories about rabbits and lazy daisy's on tiny coats....What next I ask?")
