Found another sweetheart..

Just walking along the path in Falmouth.. 

Let me rephrase....  I was struggling up a very, very steep hill on the way to see my son, and stopped to catch my breath, looked down and there it was..

 

This is what eventually, we got to see, our son launch the canoe he made from scratch in only two days.. Basic and small but perfectly formed, and best of all water tight.

Our son has returned from Essex, we are thrilled to have him safely home once again. Last evening, we took him to Gunwallow beach at Church Cove our 'new nearest' beach  and one that he hadn't visited before.. It was a glorious evening with the sun setting as the last of the holiday makers were packing up...

 

As we walked along the beach I couldn't help but record the standing stone sculptures left by the children or maybe their parents? I hope that they took their own photo's they looked quite wonderful in the evening sunshine.

I have fallen in love with this place and enjoy walking here at the end of a long, house hunting day.  One might say, food for the soul... Must remember that when I'm struggling with my diet.. I'll tell you about that another time.

As we walked along the edge of the shoreline there were so many Jellyfish washed up by the morning tide, waiting patiently for the evening tide to arrive. Each one different and all so beautiful.. *Note to self... Don't pick them up!!!

'Happy Days' at Ben Coode-Adams farm

Last weekend we had an invitation to visit Ben Coode-Adams and Freddie Robins 
at their 'Happy Days' exhibition and open garden.. Our son David has been working there for the past few months creating an eclectic range of wood creations using recycled materials.  Here he is posing with his friend Michael Polom in front of the display panels (which will eventually become a toilet block) he created.

Does anyone recognise the person in the back ground?

This is the bird hide my son made from recycled wood/wooden pallets and other recycled/found objects. "Isn't it wonderful".. Sorry proud parent talking...

 Then into the garden, how about this for a gazebo made by Ben Coode-Adams. How I'd love one of these for my new garden.. (Is that a clue?.. More to come very soon, big things are happening)

 

 

...Well, that's another wonderful piece to put on my wish list..
