Week 8. On my work bench....

I'm lagging behind a bit this week..Sorry to be a day late.. Never mind, here is some of the work on my bench this week... My first printing this year.. Trying to get back into it, I've been a bit sidetracked with other ideas, which I shall tell you all about in due time.. These are to become covers for some handmade books using recycled paper.
Cherry Hall and I are getting ready for the first Colchester...

Stick, Staple & Stitch Artists’ Book Fair

Stick, Staple & Stitch is Essex Book Festival’s first ever Artists’ Book Fair
10am – 4pm Saturday 17th March 2012
Quite a daunting task, trying to get work organised and actually deciding what to make and take, strangely enough.
Here are some other pieces I've been working on.. Carefully wedged with pins on the studio pin-board for the moment.

Also a little beauty, I bought this at the Church St gallery in Saffron Waldon which has to be one of my favourites, well worth the two hour car journey the other week.. Don't you just love it.. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the artist... I promise to find out for you...
Ta da... I found the envelope..... Mark Hearld.

  2. I love these prints! I wish I could make it to the book fair but unfortunately I'm rather far away, I have a friend in Essex though and I'll mention it to her :D

Would the bird be by Mark Hearld by any chance? I think I remember seeing something similar somewhere by him, I love it :)

  3. Just love those little birds. Lets hope they fly away at the book fair. I'm still struggling with the book task you set us last month. See you tomorrow.......xx

  4. I like your first prints of the year... especially the bird within the bird and the other sundries pinned to your wall. Love pinboards, I have a HUGE one now!
