This is the beginnings of a new painting about love.. Under painting is cadmium red. I nearly always paint a canvas red or a red'ish brown to start start with.. It's at this stage when all I'm doing is looking at it standing back and re-drawing.

Interesting to know what you do to begin a painting - I would never have guessed that it would begin with red. Obviously I'm not an artist!
