17 Years ago today I gave my husband a book.. 'Classic Walks, Cornwall'.
Yesterday Norman and I did the Rosemullion Head and Carwinion Valley walk, 5.3 miles of very muddy slippy slide'y hills and fields.. Better late than never. Although we have unwittingly done sections of the other walks in the book over the years.
We were so surprised to find spring violets in bloom along the footpath.
Looking up through the decaying giant gunnera leaves to the skies above..
Along the path someone had attached mermaid's rings to pieces of fishing net as a marker, reminded us of Hansel and Gretel and their bread crumb trail..
The rock formations along the beach were astounding..
The views were spectacular.
So now we have completed and officially ticked off the first of our South West Coastal walks.
*Note to self.. Buy good walking boots and Nordic hiking poles..
