I hope that you have noticed this badge on my sidebar recently.

If you are visiting 'my curious tea party' for the first time or have been here before, I bid you all welcome to my humble abode.

It is cold and grey here in the UK at the moment, so jump on the magic 'Oneworldoneheart' carpet with me and for the next 3 weeks visit every blog participating in the event, it's going to be a wonderful adventure.....

Just a couple of weeks ago a friend suggested that I take a look at Lisa Swifka's blog "A whimsical Bohemian" this is the lady who created this event in 2007. The original idea behind this giveaway event was to bring blogger's together from around the world who might never ordinarily meet and in the process possibly win a prize or maybe two along the way....To visit Lisa just click on the logo.

In 2007 she had roughly 85-90 participants and friendships were made that are still going strong to this day. In 2008 the number tripled and in 2009 there were almost 1000 participants! In all 28 countries were represented. How amazing is that!

As I understand it (I'm taking part for the first time) this event is about finding and making new friends across the globe. Kindred spirits... does that sound lovely to you, it certainly sounds wonderful to me. Where else could this happen?

Lisa talks about a magic carpet ride that we are all meeting on, so while we are on our journey lets take this opportunity and make it something special and enjoy the ride.

These are my giveaways, the first one is a 'Pre-Loved Oak Box' which I have painted, it is very old, it has peculiar hinges, but hey, they work, and has a cute little brass hook which holds it shut.

I think that it may have been a childs pencil box, with the little compartment for a rubber may be?

My second giveaway is three of my lino prints one copy of 'Full Moon' and two copies of 'Torso', one of these is a proof that was done on very thin paper with gold thread running through it.

Last but not least is this painting, I'm afraid that the photographs don't do it justice I painted it to represent all of 'us' linking metaphorical hands across the world, a golden thread links our arms.... as we fly on our magic carpet.
