Last night we laid in bed and heard...

... A    Nightingale( Try this link of a nightingale in Suffolk, nearest I could find.)

At first we were amazed,  first time for both of us, we felt privileged, then after an hour we began to think that it was annoying after more than two hours it was driving us nuts.  So loud, sounded as if it was just outside our bedroom window... IT WAS!!!

Who'd have thought we would have heard a nightingale in our back garden.... those little blighters birds have some lungs.... So loud and full of energy....She says brightly .... Here's hoping that he has a night off tonight...

A special heart felt thank you to all that left me such kind messages on my last post. I got quite teary over some of them.

My love to you all, and thank you once again for your kindness,

Julie x

  1. I have never heard a Nightingale and can understand your initial excitement!
Your post made me smile because a week or two ago some kind soul nearby introduced a Cockerel to their garden...very lovely to hear in the day but not at daybreak...continuously for hours. Needless to say I have had some very early starts to the day. Yawn. xxx

  2. We had a nightingale nearby, but over here, all the shrubs and trees seem to need a cut from time to time (arrrgh), so he moved.

I've never (as far as I know!) heard a nightingale, so this was a real treat for me. Hope you get a better night's sleep though!

  4. sent you an email about meeting up x
