At first we were amazed, first time for both of us, we felt privileged, then after an hour we began to think that it was annoying after more than two hours it was driving us nuts. I have never heard a Nightingale and can understand your initial excitement!
ReplyDeleteYour post made me smile because a week or two ago some kind soul nearby introduced a Cockerel to their garden...very lovely to hear in the day but not at daybreak...continuously for hours. Needless to say I have had some very early starts to the day. Yawn. xxx
We had a nightingale nearby, but over here, all the shrubs and trees seem to need a cut from time to time (arrrgh), so he moved.
