Earth Hour

I found out about this event on the BBC news this morning, I have signed up and thought that some of you out there might be interested in taking part too.

"WWF’s Earth Hour 2010"

Earth Hour is all about acting locally while thinking globally – show that you care about climate change by symbolically switching off your lights for one hour and adding your name to the cause at wwf.org.uk/earthhour.

About Earth Hour wwf.org.uk/earthhour Earth Hour is a global WWF climate change initiative. Individuals, businesses, governments and communities are invited to turn out their lights for one hour on Saturday March 27, 2010 at 8:30 PM to show their support for action on climate change. The event began in Sydney in 2007, when 2 million people switched off their lights. In 2008, more than 50 million people around the globe participated. In 2009, hundreds of millions of people in more than 4,000 cities and towns across 88 countries switched off their lights for one hour.

So click on the link and join in this global event, its only for an hour.. I'm sure we can all live without the TV /computer and lights for just one hour....I thought that I might prepare a romantic dinner... by candle light of course... or if enough people take part we may even be able to see the stars without so much light polution.. how exciting could that be......
Please pass on the message, it's amazing what can be achieved.
