The other evening there were several star fish washed up on Gyllyngvase beach
A couple of children were thinking it fun to play with them..
Needless to say we had words...
I must have looked a sight. I can see the headlines...
'Crazy lady returning stars into the sea'..
They were still alive, just.. So I did what I had to do..
Julie, I would have done the same exact thing. Tossing starfish back into the water was your good deed for the day. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI was carefully putting back jelly fish the other week, slippery customers..
DeleteGood for you! And maybe those children will remember what you did and have a little more compassion for living things.
ReplyDeleteWe can but hope.
Deletejulie, that was kind of you! a woman after my own heart!

Thanks Lynne.x
DeleteWell Done! Hopefully they learned what they should do in the future, or at least think about their actions.
ReplyDeleteWe can but hope Kim..
DeleteAs someone who moves snails off the pavement to a safer place I can relate to moving stars :)
ReplyDeleteI do have a problem with saving slugs Chickpea, they love my tiny Cornish garden and it's veggies.
